From October 24-25, 2024, the “Fujinokuni Circular Economy International Exhibition” was held at the Fujisan Messe Exhibition Hall. Tras exhibited its CN Challenge vehicle at the main corner of the exhibition with the full endorsement of SUZUKI Motor Company.
In addition to the CN Challenge bike, Tras also displayed a MotoGP highlight: The cowling of the 2020 SUZUKI ECSTAR GSX-RR made of flax fiber composite at the Tras booth. We received many questions and comments on the beautiful craftsmanship of our products.
The CN Challenge bike on display was the actual motorcycle that raced in this year's Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race complete with the 8 hours of dirt and grime still remaining on the bike from the race. The fact that it was able to be displayed in its original condition, with no major damage that required repairs, shows how smoothly this machine ran through the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race.
The flax fiber composite cowling of the 2020 GSX-RR displayed in the booth is a Tras prototype: It was made by replacing the SUZUKI MotoGP CFRP (carbon fiber) cowling Tras had previously made with a flax fiber composite one. This is the very first prototype that started the story of the TEAM SUZUKI CN Challenge.
The exhibition was a great success, with approximately 2,000 visitors, the largest number ever. The positive response to the exhibition is an indication of the growing interest in new environmentally friendly materials in Japan. New materials, new developments, and new initiatives to replace existing products with environmentally friendly materials will create our future. As a specialist in composite products, Tras will continue to actively challenge the reduction of CO2 emissions from composite products. Please look forward to our activities in the future.
